Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan Airports has held negotiations with Malaysia’s AirAsia X. The meeting focused on launching regular flights between Kuala Lumpur and Tashkent. According to Uzbekistan Airports, the talks were a continuation of discussions initiated at the “Routes Asia 2024” aviation forum.
The airline is planning to start flights to Uzbekistan in October this year, operating three times a week using Airbus 320/321 aircraft. It is also exploring the possibility of launching connecting flights via Tashkent to third countries.
For reference, AirAsia X received official approval in February this year to operate regular flights to Uzbekistan.
