Mall will open in Uzbekistan with only local goods

In Uzbekistan, specialized shopping centers will appear, where only domestic light industry goods will be presented.
There are more than 4 thousand enterprises producing finished clothing, footwear, and leather goods in the country. However, as President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted, there is still no infrastructure that allows for the widespread presentation of these goods to the population in one place.
In this regard, a project will be launched to create large shopping centers under the "Mall of Uzbekistan" brand, where only national goods will be sold. Stores in such complexes will be provided to entrepreneurs at a minimum rental rate.
In addition, the list of tax benefits for industry enterprises has been expanded. For textile and footwear industries, where at least 15% of employees are from low-income families, the profit tax rate will be 2%, and the social tax rate will be 1%.
The conditions for obtaining these preferences have also been adjusted: now the required share of employees in need will be reduced by half. At the same time, persons with disabilities will officially be included among such employees.
