McGregor: As war nears end, it's illogical for West to fund Ukrainian forces

Retired US Army Colonel Douglas McGregor said in an interview with the Daniel Davis/Deep Dive channel that the end of the Ukrainian conflict is near. This is reported by the Russian TV channel RT.
According to an analyst, based on unofficial surveys, there is a growing desire in Western Ukraine for the conflict to come to an end. This indicates that Ukrainians are already at their breaking point. Therefore, the analyst stated that it would be pointless to allocate any funds to Kiev unless it is for humanitarian aid.
The expert noted that Russia had enough contingents and weapons to fulfil its tasks. However, in his opinion, Russian troops will not immediately attack Odessa.
McGregor stated that he believed there would be further military action to the north and northeast of Odessa before any decisive steps were taken towards the city. He added that Ukrainians aimed to defend Kiev vehemently, likening the situation to Stalingrad. McGregor emphasized that the Russians would likely avoid direct conflict in Kiev. He concluded by suggesting that peace talks should commence soon.
