Measures Taken Against Gas Stations Selling Low-Quality Fuel

In Uzbekistan, the quality of automotive fuel sold at gas stations has been inspected. As a result of the checks carried out by the territorial departments of the Competition Committee in cooperation with relevant organizations, it was found that fuel at several stations did not meet state standards.

Measures Taken Against Gas Stations Selling Low-Quality Fuel
Gas Stations with Low-Quality Fuel in Tashkent Region. Fuel quality testing was conducted at “BLACK GOLD ENERGY” LLC (AI-92 and AI-95) and “SAFOMAX OIL” LLC (AI-92), which operate in the region. The results of the examination showed that the fuel did not meet state standard requirements.

Detected Violations in Samarkand Region. At the “HAPPY OIL” LLC gas station in Jomboy district, an inspection of AI-95 fuel was conducted. The analysis, carried out at the Tashkent Central Chemical Control Laboratory, confirmed that the fuel was of poor quality.

In accordance with the identified violations, the territorial departments of the Competition Committee found that the Law "On Consumer Protection" had been violated. As a result:

Cases were initiated against three business entities.

Mandatory orders were issued to recalculate consumer refunds amounting to approximately 22 million UZS.
