The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated the President of the European CommisionUrsula von der Leyen on her re-election to this position and expressed her best wishes.
In his letter, the head of state emphasized the huge personal contribution of the President of the European Commission in raising the comprehensive relations of Uzbekistan with the European Union to a completely new level in terms of quality and content in recent years, and in comprehensively supporting the irreversible democratic and economic-social reforms in Uzbekistan.
Confidence was expressed that with joint efforts, cooperation will rise to a higher level in all priority areas.
It is noted that Uzbekistan is in favor of soon signing the Enhanced Cooperation and Partnership Agreement, which will open a completely new page in relations with the European Union.
"I am sure that holding the first "Central Asia - European Parliament" summit in Samarkand in the near future will be an important practical step towards enriching our regional relations with useful projects and programs," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said in his letter.
