Mirziyoyev: “Supporting entrepreneurship is our strategic path!”

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, focusing on increasing their role in the economy and taking the sector’s development to a new level.
“Supporting entrepreneurship is our strategic path! The faster business grows, the stronger our country becomes, and the more prosperous our people will be.
During the December ‘open dialogue,’ we mainly discussed plans with large entrepreneurs. Today, we must find an answer together to the question: what needs to be done to support rapidly growing small and medium-sized businesses and turn them into ‘champions’?” – said the head of state at the beginning of his speech.
The President outlined the key goals and tasks for the sector in 2025:
Increase the share of small and medium-sized businesses in the economy to 55% and generate $70 billion in added value;
Assist in entering new markets by addressing transport, certification, and standardization issues, increasing small business exports from $9 billion to $12 billion;
Expand the share of small businesses in drinking water, sewage, road construction, utilities, supply chains, waste management, migration, culture, and social services by 2-3 times;
Create 1.5 million permanent jobs, raising the share of employed people in the sector to 75%;
Increase the number of enterprises with over 100 employees to 4,000;
Launch 100 new branded products in small business;
Fund 200 startup projects with the participation of small businesses.
