More flights, fewer visas: Uzbekistan makes tourism more accessible
Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan is entering a new level of tourist openness - the civil aviation fleet will be replenished with new aircraft, and visa barriers for guests from several countries will be lifted. All to attract millions of new travelers.
At the meeting chaired by the President of Uzbekistan on April 9, specific measures for the development of tourism were announced. As part of expanding the country's accessibility for foreign guests, the government plans to simplify the visa regime with promising countries and expand the civil aviation fleet by purchasing modern aircraft.
This decision became part of a large-scale strategy to increase the tourist flow. Already now, Uzbekistan is actively promoting its tourism potential on international TV channels such as BBC and Euronews, and participates in more than 20 international exhibitions. The simplification of visa procedures and the development of air travel are designed to enhance this effect and make the country even more attractive for travelers.
