The recall is due to the potential presence of cereumild toxin in arachidonic acid supplied by an external vendor. Ingestion of this substance may cause acute poisoning with symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.

The affected batches are:

NAN Supreme (0–12 months) — 52790742C1

ALFARE Amino — 51050017Y2, 51470017Y1, 52730017Y1

Nestle emphasizes that the toxin content is extremely low and there are no regulatory limits for cereumild in Uzbekistan. Nevertheless, as part of Nestle’s global risk reduction process, the voluntary recall of these batches started on January 5.

Consumers who purchased the affected products can return them according to established procedures. The recall does not affect other batches or other Nestle baby food products available in Uzbekistan.

Previously, similar recalls due to the toxin risk were conducted in several European countries and Kazakhstan.
