New Minimum Rental Rates for Individuals in 2025

Uzbekistan

Starting from January 1, 2025, the minimum rental rates for individuals leasing buildings or vehicles in Uzbekistan have been increased. These changes are being implemented based on the Law on the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The minimum rental rates have increased by 10–12.7%. The new rates will also apply to agreements for free use of property (except for agreements between close relatives). These changes will help increase the tax burden on economic processes.

Additionally, the Supreme Council of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the People's Councils of regional deputies have the right to introduce coefficient increases for rental rates based on the economic development level of districts and cities, which can be increased up to 2.0.

In Tashkent city and in certain areas specialized for recreation and tourism, further coefficient increases for minimum rental rates are expected. These coefficients will especially apply to the amounts set for Tashkent city.

The new minimum rental rates are determined based on the economic conditions and social demands in different regions of Uzbekistan. These changes will increase the obligations of taxpayers and also create a more balanced economic system for individuals renting out property.
