Ilham Aliyev said that Ersin Tatar's participation in the summit of Organization of Turkic States under his flag is significant milestone.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated that the participation of the President of Northern Cyprus Ersin Tatar in the informal summit of the OTS is an important step for the recognition of the country, Anadolu reports.
"Northern Cyprus' participation in Turkic summit crucial to its recognition," said President of Azerbaijan.
In his speech, Ilham Aliyev spoke about Azerbaijan's support to the Turkish Cypriots, as well as the future of TDT and ongoing joint efforts.
For information, Northern Cyprus has observer status in OTS.
