Nurlan Saburov Banned from Entering Russia for 50 Years
World
The stand-up comedian will be unable to visit the country for half a century due to violations of migration and tax laws, as well as criticism of the military operation in Ukraine.
According to Mash, the entry ban came into effect on January 30, 2026. Saburov was stopped for inspection at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport after arriving from Dubai and was unable to return due to insufficient funds for a ticket.
Mash reports that the decision is related to previous violations of migration and tax regulations, as well as Saburov’s public criticism of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine.
Earlier, in December 2025, the comedian’s concert in Obninsk (Kaluga region) was unexpectedly canceled. Media sources suggest the reason may have been jokes Saburov made about Russians during his 2022 performance.
