Kamol Mukhtarov has been appointed Uzbekistan's permanent representative to UNESCO. This was reported by the news agency “Dunyo”.

It is reported that he arrived in Paris and started fulfilling his mission.

For your information, Kamol Mukhtarov is 42 years old. He graduated from Samarkand State University and London Diplomatic Academy. Since 2007, he worked in the system of the ministries of investment, industry and trade, foreign affairs, and also worked as a counsellor at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United States. Since 2019, he has worked in responsible positions in the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan.

Kamol Mukhtarov succeeds Umid Shodiev, who headed the Permanent Delegation to UNESCO in 2018-2023, and in July was appointed Chairman of the Committee on Tourism under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan.
