On August 26 and 27, the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan I. Makhkamov, together with the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan I. Irgashev, paid a visit to Afghanistan.

At the talks that took place within the framework of this important meeting, the issues of forming an international transport corridor were considered, which will allow cargo transportation through Afghanistan and Pakistan to the ports of the Indian Ocean.

Also on the agenda were issues of further strengthening cooperation between the enterprises of transport logistics of the two states. One of the key topics was the creation of favorable conditions for international road carriers. This includes lifting restrictions on transit through Afghanistan and facilitating the movement of goods in different directions.

This important step is aimed at improving the transport infrastructure and creating more convenient routes for freight transport in the region. The development of international transit corridors through Afghanistan is expected to strengthen economic ties between countries and ensure more efficient movement of goods.
