Plans for the development of the electrical engineering industry were presented

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev outlined ambitious goals for developing one of the key sectors of the economy. Export, localization, global brands, and 4,600 new jobs - Uzbekistan's electrical engineering industry is preparing for a new stage of growth.
On April 22, the head of state held a meeting on the results of the first quarter in the electrical engineering industry and plans until the end of the year. The industry confidently confirms its status as one of the locomotives of the economy: in seven years, exports have increased 7 times, and Uzbek products are supplied to 63 countries.
In January, a resolution was adopted to bring the sector to a qualitatively new level. Special attention is paid to the production of high-tech products, attracting investments, international brands, and developing engineering developments.
Since the beginning of the year:
production exceeded 7 trillion soums;
exports amounted to $310 million (+30%);
$55 million of investments were attracted, of which $48 million were foreign;
A portfolio of new projects worth $900 million has been formed.
By the end of the year, it is planned:
increase output to 43 trillion soums;
localization of products worth 5 trillion soums;
implementation of 71 projects worth 656 million dollars;
create 4.6 thousand jobs;
to expand exports to 70 countries and bring the volume to $1.7 billion.
The President emphasized the importance of a flexible development strategy, taking into account global economic instability, the need for accelerated localization and training of qualified specialists.
