President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated President Volodymyr Zelensky and the people of Ukraine on Independence Day. In response, Zelensky expressed gratitude for the warm message and highlighted Tashkent’s stance in supporting Ukraine’s territorial integrity and humanitarian initiatives.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev extended congratulations to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the Ukrainian people on the occasion of Independence Day, celebrated on August 24.
In his message on the social network “X,” Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the Uzbek leader for the warm greetings. He expressed confidence that the two countries will continue to strengthen their fruitful cooperation and bilateral ties for the benefit of both nations.
Zelensky also emphasized the importance of Uzbekistan’s position on supporting Ukraine’s territorial integrity and its humanitarian initiatives, including programs to host Ukrainian children for recreation in Uzbekistan.
