President of Uzbekistan Arrives in Dushanbe for Central Asia–Russia

On October 9, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Dushanbe on a working visit to take part in two major international events — the Central Asia–Russia Summit and the CIS Heads of State Council meeting.
At Dushanbe International Airport, the Uzbek leader was welcomed by Tajikistan’s Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda and other senior officials.
During the visit, President Mirziyoyev will attend the second Central Asia–Russia Summit, focusing on regional security, trade, energy, and transport cooperation, and will also take part in the CIS Heads of State Council meeting.
Bilateral meetings between participating leaders are also expected to take place on the sidelines of the events.
