President of Uzbekistan highlights the importance of promoting energy projects with Kyrgyzstan

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic Taalaybek Ibraev.
In the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest passed to the Head of our state sincere greetings of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.
Issues of further strengthening Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership, including in energy sector, have been reviewed.
The high dynamics in the development of bilateral relations has been noted with satisfaction. Since the beginning of the year, trade has increased by 17 percent, and the freight traffic is growing. Cooperation projects in priority sectors of the economy are being successfully implemented.
Mutually beneficial cooperation has been established in the energy sector. Stable supplies and transit of electricity are underway, and promising projects in "green" energy are being developed.
The Leader of Uzbekistan emphasized the importance of deepening interaction in hydropower and effectively advancing joint projects of regional significance, primarily the Kambarata-1 hydropower plant.
