One of the year's most significant youth events, the "Student Olympics of New Uzbekistan," has officially kicked off in Tashkent. Thousands of students across the nation are trading lecture halls for sports arenas to prove that the new generation stands for vitality and excellence.

On April 6, the Museum of Olympic and Paralympic Glory hosted the grand opening of this major project, organized jointly by the Ministry of Sport, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, and the National Olympic Committee. The ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials, including Presidential Administration representative Odil Abdurakhmonov and leaders of key ministries.

The primary goal of this ambitious initiative is to transform grassroots sports into a national movement. As noted by Sardor Rajabov, First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, the Olympics provide the necessary platform for millions of young people to pursue a healthy lifestyle.

Scope: 168 universities (including state, private, and foreign campuses).

Participants: Over 159,000 registered students.

Disciplines: Volleyball, handball, 3×3 basketball, table tennis, football, athletics, and swimming.

Technology: Competition integrity is maintained through the "ERP-sport" digital management system.

The tournament will unfold in three stages: regional qualifiers in April and May will culminate in a grand final held at the Olympic Village in Tashkent from June 1 to 10.
