President of Uzbekistan receives US delegation

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation headed by Samantha Power, head of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), on 23 October.
The American side is in our country to participate in the ministerial meeting of Central Asian countries and the United States on development issues.
The sides discussed issues related to further development of constructive and mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.
It should be noted that a number of projects in healthcare, education, green energy, agribusiness and other spheres have been implemented in Uzbekistan in cooperation with USAID.
In the course of the conversation, the two sides exchanged views on the implementation of the agreements reached at the S5+1 summit of heads of state, which was held in New York in September this year in the framework of the UN General Assembly session.
