President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has received Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Koshanov. This was reported by the press service of the President.
It is noted that Shavkat Mirziyoyev on 26 October received the Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Koshanov, who is in our country on a visit. At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Majilis of Kazakhstan conveyed to the head of our state sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev. In the course of the conversation were considered topical issues on the bilateral agenda.
The conversation highlighted the consistent strengthening of Uzbek-Kazakh relations of strategic partnership and alliance. The indicators of mutual trade turnover and the number of joint ventures are steadily growing, industrial cooperation projects are being implemented in the automotive, textile, electrical, logistics and other sectors.
Fruitful results of the first session of the Inter-Parliamentary Council between the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan held today have been particularly noted.
Special attention has been paid to the importance of further development of close inter-parliamentary ties for unconditional fulfilment of agreements at the highest level, expansion of inter-regional cooperation and cultural and humanitarian exchange.
The exchange of experience in lawmaking, development of self-governing bodies and support for youth, including the organisation of visits by delegations of young deputies, has been identified as an important area.
