The President held a meeting on the process of privatisation of the banking system

During the meeting, bank managers briefed the President on plans to prepare for transformation and privatisation, train employees, and introduce advanced IT solutions in the sphere.
Yesterday, November 20, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting to discuss the processes of transformation and privatisation in the banking system. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
It is reported that competition in the banking sector is increasing and demand for banking services is growing. It was said that this process requires acceleration of transformation works in the system.
Proposals were made at the meeting to prepare banks for privatisation, to organise IPO of their securities, to attract experienced foreign specialists to the sphere.
The head of state instructed officials to strengthen co-operation with international rating companies and develop medium-term measures to improve the rating of banks. He also said that the system of training specialised personnel should be adapted to the requirements of the time.
During the meeting, Shavkat Mirziyoyev stressed that each bank should analyse the projects it has invested in, control their implementation, form effective projects in regions and industries.
