South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported that the test took place on March 20. According to the source, the tested missile belongs to the "surface-to-air" class and has recently been put into mass production by North Korea. However, the exact name of the missile has not been disclosed.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, commenting on the missile test, stated that this missile is "a new defensive system with combat characteristics worthy of praise" for the DPRK army.
