The Number of Uzbeks Traveling Abroad Increased by 37.2%

In the first eight months of 2024, the number of Uzbek citizens traveling abroad for tourism increased significantly. According to the Statistics Agency, 4.06 million Uzbeks embarked on international trips during this period.
This figure marks an increase of 1.1 million people compared to the same period last year, reflecting a growth of 37.2%. Most tourists traveled to neighboring countries, with Kyrgyzstan leading with 1.91 million visitors.
Tajikistan (797,600) and Kazakhstan (640,200) followed closely behind. Russia and Turkey also remain popular destinations for Uzbek tourists.
