Reconstruction of the Capital's Main Square Nearly Complete
Uzbekistan
Tashkent's primary landmark is preparing to unveil its refreshed look. The reconstruction of Amir Temur Square has entered the home stretch, with crews finalizing the core work to return the city's favorite promenade to the public.
According to the capital’s Khokimiyat, the large-scale improvement project is now in its final phase. Specialists have already restored the pavement of the pedestrian walkways, with complete resurfacing carried out on specific sections where needed.
Despite the approaching reopening, the city administration reminds the public that movement restrictions within the inner part of the square remain in effect. Authorities are asking residents and visitors to remain patient while the final touches are applied to the very heart of Tashkent.
