Uzbek Interior Ministry urges citizens to report online calls for terrorism
The Uzbek Interior Ministry urges citizens to report by phone 102 about calls to commit terrorist acts for money disseminated via the internet. The appeal is posted on the ministry's press service website.

"Most often provocative messages are sent via the messenger Telegram. Unknown people promise to pay various sums of money, provide weapons and send a plan of action, while provocateurs usually do not respond to refusals. The worst thing is that the attackers most often write to children. In a number of countries there are cases of intimidation by the fact that they allegedly know all the data about the child. Provocateurs have no photos and hidden numbers," the appeal says.

The Interior Ministry urged citizens not to panic and not to spread such messages, but after receiving them, to immediately report them to the short number 102 and not to have any conversations with the attackers.

"Remember that fraudsters do this to cause panic among the public! And the law enforcement agencies of the republic are doing everything within their competence to neutralise any security threats," the appeal stresses.
