FIRST GLOBAL CHALLENGE is an annual world robotics championship held in different countries. This year, representatives of 191 countries took part in the championship.

Robotics World Cup: Uzbekistan takes 3rd place
Uzbek schoolchildren won a bronze medal at the FIRST Global Challenge robotics championship in Singapore. The Ministry of Preschool and School Education reports.

The national team included Mahkambek Teshabaev, Nazarboy Rakhmonov, Abdulaziz Mirahmedov, Aidar Ermukhon (Tashkent) and Shukrullo Sadikov (Bukhara).

"We brought a strong team to Singapore, which prepared perfectly for the international championship in a short time. Robotics in Uzbekistan is developing dynamically from year to year," said Safina Teshabayeva, the team's mentor.

The national team won a 100 per cent grant to participate in this tournament.
