A card with the name of US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has appeared in the search database of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. This is reported by Anadolu.
Earlier, the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to open a criminal case against the American politician on the fact of the Russians' statements about the murder.
“Lindsey Olin Graham, an American born July 9, 1955, is wanted under a Penal Code,” the department's database says. The department did not specify what the substance was.
On May 26, the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky published a short video showing him meeting with the US senator. In it, Lindsey Graham uttered phrases such as "Russians are dying" and "we've never spent money so well."
The edited video of the US senator caused a sharp reaction from the Russian authorities. Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the presence of such senators is "a great shame for the country."
And the deputy head of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, left a comment: “He shouldn't have done that. In his beloved America, not only ordinary people are regularly killed, but dirty money is also spent on assassinating senators.”
