Russian-Chinese talks in an expanded format have begun in Beijing with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

Following the meeting, the parties will sign joint documents. Additionally, the leaders of the two countries intend to issue a statement on deepening the comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation between China and Russia.

Later, Putin and Xi Jinping will move to informal communication. They are expected to have a one-on-one conversation and take a walk in the park near the Great Hall of the People. In the evening, during an informal dinner, some delegation members will join the leaders.

It was reported that during the talks, the Russian leader intends to discuss in detail with Xi Jinping the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and their development prospects, as well as international and regional issues, including the situation around Ukraine, the Middle East, and the Asian region.

Previously, Putin stated that the relations between Russia and China have reached their highest level in history and continue to strengthen.
