Russia's Wealthiest Earned $26.2 Billion Since Beginning of the Year

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, the combined wealth of the 26 richest Russian businessmen reached $361.8 billion as of August 1, 2024.
Vladimir Potanin, a major shareholder of Norilsk Nickel, saw his wealth increase by $498 million to $31.6 billion since the beginning of the year.
Vagit Alekperov, founder of the oil company LUKOIL, earned $3.24 billion, bringing his total wealth to $27.9 billion.
Vladimir Lisin, chairman of the board of directors of NLMK, increased his wealth by $3.05 billion to $27 billion.
Telegram founder Pavel Durov ranked 17th among the richest Russian businessmen with a fortune of $9.15 billion. His primary source of wealth is Telegram, which had around 900 million active users per month as of March.
Wildberries founder Tatyana Bakalchuk is ranked 20th with a fortune of $8.39 billion. Her wealth grew by $2.9 billion since the beginning of the year, with the majority of it coming from her stake in Wildberries.
Meanwhile, the wealth of USM holding founder Alisher Usmanov decreased by $4.86 billion to $16.2 billion since the beginning of the year.
