Restrictions Tightened on Misleading and Harmful Ads for Dietary Supplements
In 2023, over 2205 advertising materials were reviewed, with 328 found in violation of the law and subsequently removed following official instructions.

In Andijan, a misleading advertisement for "Qomus" capsules aired on "Taraqqiyot TV" was flagged. The Regional Department launched a case, resulting in the ad's removal. Additionally, in Tashkent, a non-compliant ad for "Neofleks" was identified in the "Жить Здорово" newspaper, leading to fines for those responsible.

In Namangan, misleading claims in ads for "Fito-Plyus" and "Gemorroid" on the "Mahalla" channel prompted authorities to instruct "HERBAL MED" to modify their promotional materials. Revised ads, including counter-advertising, have since aired.

Similarly, Samarkand and Sirdarya regions saw illegal supplement ads on several Telegram channels. Channel administrators were cautioned, and the ads were removed.

It is essential to remember that dietary supplements are not curative treatments. Manufacturers and advertisers must fully comply with legal requirements to protect consumer rights.
