The exhibition features materials from the Samanid and Timurid eras, alongside examples of traditional crafts and textile art. The project introduces Qatar’s residents and visitors to Uzbekistan’s historical and cultural heritage while supporting the development of humanitarian ties between the two countries.

The same day also saw the opening of “Ektashif Uzbekistan”, an exhibition presenting the results of a creative trip by seven Qatari artisans to Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara.

During their journey, the artisans explored Uzbekistan’s cultural traditions and created original works inspired by them. The exhibition features jewellery, carpets, calligraphic works produced in an ancient style, as well as photographs taken during the trip.

The two exhibitions present Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage through museum collections and contemporary works created by Qatari artisans. Their presentation in Qatar is aimed at strengthening cultural ties between Uzbekistan and Qatar.
