The history, rich culture, and artistic legacy of Khiva were shown to the guests from Kyrgyzstan.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov together with the first ladies of the two countries visited the “Ichanqala” complex and the “Nurillaboy saroy” complex in Khiva, press service of President of Uzbekistan reports.
Guests got acquainted with the unique "Kohna Ark" complex, Shergazi Khan complex, Juma Mosque, "Toshkhovli" complex and other monuments, starting from the "Ota darvozasi".
In honor of the guests, Uzbek folk songs were played and a theatrical performance was shown. After that, they visited the Nurillaboy palace.
"The stories about the history of Khiva and its contribution to the development of science, as well as the rich culture and art of the region left a great impression on the Kyrgyz guests," the press service of the President of Uzbekistan says.
