On 15 April, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, welcomed a delegation from the State of Qatar led by the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, as reported by the press service of the head of Uzbekistan.
The discussions focused on current issues relating to the further expansion of bilateral cooperation, primarily in the trade-economic, investment, and transport-communication sectors.
The importance of advancing joint investment projects and the swift establishment of effective financial support mechanisms was emphasised.
Issues concerning the accelerated practical implementation of the Trans-Afghan Railway project were considered.
