During the video conference call, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that banks do not play a significant role in the development of entrepreneurship in Saikhunabad district, although significant resources are allocated to them by the government.
Last year, 120 billion sums were allocated for the development of entrepreneurship in Saykhunabad district, and businessmen received tax benefits worth 85 billion sums.
However, it is noted that these funds do not lead to the creation of new jobs and have no noticeable impact on poverty reduction.
In addition, it is emphasised that 16 buildings with completed infrastructure have not been sold during the year due to high cost, and 5 properties that have been empty for many years have not been put up for auction.
In Sayhunabad the task was set to make the population profitable by starting farms in 17 thousand households, developing small-scale production and services.
Now the assistant governor of each neighbourhood develops business plans for residents, taking into account the criterion of "income of at least 1-2 million sums from 1 hectare of land".
The experience of Saykhunabad will be popularised throughout the republic.
