Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Azerbaijan

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, will visit this country on November 23-24 on a practical visit.
The head of state will take part in the first Summit of the UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia (ESCAP) in Baku.
The agenda of the event includes further expansion of multilateral cooperation within the program, the creation of a trust fund to support regional projects, the adoption of a road map for the digitalization of transport corridors, the promotion of business initiatives and other issues.
The ESCAP program was established on March 26, 1998 in accordance with the Tashkent Declaration in order to develop economic cooperation between countries in the region and promote their integration into the world economy. Participating countries are Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
These days, a number of ESCAP business events are being held in Baku, including an economic forum and an exhibition of the industrial potential of Central Asian countries.
