Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s State Visit to France Concludes

The program of the historic state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the French Republic has come to an end.
In Paris, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held productive talks with French President Emmanuel Macron.
At the conclusion of the summit, a Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership was adopted, along with a significant set of agreements covering various areas of cooperation.
A Cooperation Program in Investment and Innovation was also signed, aimed at implementing concrete joint projects worth €6.5 billion.
For his significant contribution to the development of bilateral relations, the President of Uzbekistan was awarded France’s highest honor – the Legion of Honor.
As part of the visit, meetings were held with the President of the French National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet, and the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo. Additionally, a ceremony was held to name one of the streets of Paris after Samarkand.
During negotiations with UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay, discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and preparations for the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand.
At the conclusion of the visit, France’s Minister of Sports and Youth, Marie Barsac, and other officials bid farewell to Uzbekistan’s leader at Orly International Airport.
