Staffing Consequences: Yermak's Departure Led to Dismissal of Podolyak and Leshchenko
Mykhailo Podolyak, known as one of the public representatives of the Ukrainian authorities, and investigative journalist Serhiy Leshchenko have been dismissed from their positions as advisers to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. Their resignation was a formal consequence of the departure of their direct supervisor, Andriy Yermak, who headed the administration from February 2020 and resigned on November 28, 2025.

In an official response to an inquiry from the publication "Ukrayinski Novyny," representatives of the President's Office explained that the termination of the head of the office's authority automatically entails the dismissal of all his advisers and assistants. The full list of dismissed individuals was not published.

Andriy Yermak's resignation was linked to an anti-corruption investigation. After media reports emerged about his possible involvement in corruption schemes and deputies' demands for his dismissal, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy initially refused to dismiss him and appointed him head of the delegation in negotiations with the USA. However, after searches were conducted in Yermak's offices by anti-corruption agencies on November 28, he submitted a letter of resignation, which was accepted on the same day.
