Tashkent and Ankara Prepare for Strategic Talks

The foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Türkiye have discussed preparations for the upcoming meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, which is scheduled to take place in Tashkent. The talks reaffirmed both sides’ commitment to further strengthening their strategic partnership.
The phone conversation between Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan covered a broad range of bilateral and multilateral issues. According to Saidov’s statement on Telegram, the exchange was substantive and constructive.
Special attention was given to practical aspects of organizing the Strategic Cooperation Council meeting, as well as to coordination between the two countries’ foreign policy institutions. The ministers also exchanged views on current regional and global issues of mutual interest.
It was noted that the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Türkiye will continue close cooperation to ensure the timely and effective implementation of the agreements reached.
