Strengthening Social Protection for Military Personnel

Starting from March 1, 2025, the monthly cash compensation paid to military personnel for renting housing will be increased by 20%. If a military family consists of three or more members, this compensation will be increased by 50%.
Presidential Decree No. PQ-71, "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Decisions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aimed at Strengthening the Social Protection of Military Personnel," has been adopted.
According to the decree, the following changes and additions have been made to certain presidential decisions:
From March 1, 2025, the monthly cash compensation for military personnel renting housing will be increased by 20%;
From June 1, 2025, for military personnel who have served more than 10 calendar years and are eligible for housing based on legally approved mortgage lending criteria, the initial down payment for purchasing (or building) housing through a mortgage will be set at 35% of the property’s value.
According to amendments to Presidential Decree No. PQ-112 dated June 30, 2005:
From March 1, 2025, until the end of the year, military personnel serving under contract in the Armed Forces who are not provided with housing within the current budgetary expenditures will receive monthly cash compensation for renting housing in the following amounts:
In Tashkent – up to 4.8 times the Basic Calculation Value (BCV);
In Nukus and regional centers – up to 3.6 times the BCV;
In other cities, district centers, and settlements – up to 2.4 times the BCV.
If a military family consists of three or more members, this compensation will be increased by 50%.
Starting from 2026, the amount of monthly rental compensation payments will be determined annually by a government resolution based on regional market prices for rental housing.
