Sunday will no longer be considered when paying for vacations

In Uzbekistan, the rules for calculating vacation pay have changed: from now on, Sunday is no longer included in paid leave, and compensation for unused days is not provided. Corresponding amendments have been made to the Labor Code and have already been signed by the president.
According to new amendments to the Labor Code of Uzbekistan, Sundays are no longer considered when calculating vacation days. This means that when determining the amount of annual leave payments, employees will receive less than before.
Also, the law stipulates that compensation for unused leave will no longer be paid. Exceptions are cases of dismissal - in this case, the compensation is retained.
In addition, the rules for unpaid leave have changed. If previously its duration could not exceed three months during a calendar year, now this period is calculated for 12 months from the moment of the last unpaid leave.
For parents of children under 12 years of age or children with disabilities under 16 years of age, the maximum duration of leave is now 14 days, whereas previously this period was minimal.
