Support for talented youth is reaching a new level
Uzbekistan
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the “Renaissance” camp in the Bostanlyk district, which has become a center for supporting and preparing gifted students.
In recent years, education and youth policy have become top priorities in Uzbekistan: 14 Presidential schools and over 200 specialized institutions have been established, and new methods were introduced in 1,500 schools.
A national program was launched to prepare students for Ivy League universities in the US. This year, 1,500 students were selected and paired with over 200 mentors.
Around 500 students attend three-week courses at the “Renaissance” camp, with the best 40 to be sent to Ivy League universities for exchange.
The President noted: “If we provide our youth with quality education, they will become leaders in every field.”
During the visit, the project for the Al-Khwarizmi University campus was also presented.
