Supreme Court: 465 People Acquitted and Rehabilitated

In the first half of this year, the Supreme Court reviewed 29,086 criminal cases involving 37,179 people. 465 individuals were acquitted and rehabilitated.
The number of convicted individuals totaled 29,382, of which 10,287 were sentenced to imprisonment, and 18,579 received other types of punishments. 516 individuals received suspended sentences. Among the convicts, there were 26,028 men, 3,354 women, 11,145 young people (including 1,068 minors), and 1,105 people over 60 years old.
In the courtroom, 3,432 individuals were released due to being assigned non-custodial punishments. Additionally, 16,624 people were conditionally released early, and 5,620 had their punishments replaced with lighter ones.
During the reporting period, cases of fraud, traffic violations, theft, embezzlement, and misappropriation were reviewed. Crimes related to the forgery of documents, seals, and stamps were also identified. As a result of the effective use of the reconciliation institution, 6,337 individuals were released from criminal liability.
