The 45th World Chess Olympiad in Budapest began successfully for Uzbekistan's chess players, with both the men's and women's teams securing confident wins in the first round.

The women's team dominated Haiti, winning 4:0. Afruza Khamdamova, Nilufar Yakubboeva, Umida Omonova, and Nodira Nodirjonova all secured wins in their matches.
