Tashkent has become a center of industrial dialogue
On April 28, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the "INNOPROM. Central Asia," which opened in Tashkent at the Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan. The forum brought together more than 10 thousand participants from Russia, Central Asian countries, China, India, and other countries, and the total area of the exposition exceeded 18 thousand square meters.

The exhibition presents technological solutions, modern equipment, and products of leading enterprises in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, the IT sector, the chemical industry, transport, and construction.

While inspecting the pavilions, the President emphasized the enormous potential for expanding economic partnership and expressed confidence that the forum will become a platform for launching large-scale projects and strengthening long-term ties.

Within the framework of the event, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a number of bilateral meetings. During the negotiations with the Russian delegation headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, issues of implementing the agreements reached during the 2024 visit of the President of Russia to Uzbekistan were considered. The growth of trade turnover and active cooperation between the regions of the two countries were noted.

The meeting with the Chairman of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, was dedicated to expanding industrial cooperation and promoting joint projects in the oil and gas, chemical, transport, and tourism sectors.

The development of joint programs in the field of the peaceful atom, in particular, the use of nuclear technologies in medicine and agriculture, as well as the training of personnel at the Tashkent branch of NIYAU MIFI, was discussed with the General Director of Rosatom Alexey Likhachev.

The President also took part in a round table where specific cooperation projects between the regions and companies of Uzbekistan and Russia were discussed.
