The event is organized by the Center for Economic Research and Reforms in cooperation with the OTS Secretariat, as part of an initiative proposed by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during the 11th OTS Summit held on November 6, 2024, in Bishkek.

The main objective of the conference is to conduct joint research with leading scientific institutions of OTS countries, facilitate knowledge exchange, and develop proposals to enhance trade and economic cooperation within the OTS region. Participants will discuss eliminating trade barriers, simplifying customs procedures, and promoting the development of electronic trade platforms.

The conference will serve as a platform for experience and best practice sharing among top national think tanks, contributing to the formulation of strategies to increase the OTS countries’ competitiveness and integration into the global economy. Attendees will also review current research aimed at identifying new opportunities to boost trade and attract investment.

The forum will feature four working sessions on the following topics: “Current Status and Untapped Potential of Intra-OTS Trade,” “Digital Trade and Innovation,” “Regional Integration and Infrastructure Projects,” and “Sustainable Development: Green Economy and Socio-Demographic Challenges.”

The outcomes of the conference will lay the foundation for shaping effective economic policies within the OTS and will support the strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation among the member states.

Among the invited experts are Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Merey Mukazhan, Vice President of the Academy of Turkic Languages Askhat Kesikbayev, as well as heads and leading experts from analytical centers of the OTS member countries. They will present new opportunities to create a more integrated and mutually beneficial economic space.

This international scientific conference will serve as a vital platform for the exchange of ideas and perspectives, and for establishing strong connections between the region's leading experts and think tanks.
