Tashkent will host a meeting of the Heads of Religious Institutions of the OTS

The first historical meeting of the Heads of Religious Institutions of the member countries of the Organisation of Turkic States was held on 15 April 2022 in Istanbul (Turkey). On 21 October 2022 at the historic meeting of the Council of Muftis of the OTS, held in the Azerbaijani cities of Baku and Shusha, the provision "On the establishment of the Council of Muslim Religious Leaders of the OTS" was approved.
Today, on 25 November, the fourth meeting of the Heads of Religious Institutions of the OTS member countries will be held in Tashkent. It will be attended by Secretary General of OTH Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Chairman of the Board of Muslims of Uzbekistan, Mufti Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiknazar, Chairman of the Board of Muslims of Caucasus, Mufti Sheikh-ul-Islam Alllakhshukur Gummet oglu Pashazade, Chairman of the Board of Religious Affairs of Turkey, Dr Ali Erbosh, Chairman of the Department of Muslims of Kazakhstan, Supreme Mufti Nauryzbai Kazhai Taganuli, Chairman of the Ulema Council of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan Abdimanap Masaliev, Head of the Department of Muslims of Turkmenistan, Mufti Yalkap Hojakuliev, as well as ulema of Turkic states, representatives of the religious sphere.
The conference pays special attention to such issues as further development of multilateral cooperation between our states, strengthening relations between religious administrations, as well as wide propaganda of our centuries-old national and religious traditions, combating ignorance through education.
Moreover, the heads of religious departments will exchange views on joint development of modern fatwas, their implementation and important issues for the Muslim Ummah today.
“Turkic States 1st Ulema Forum” is also being held within the framework of the Heads of Religious Institutions of the member countries of the OTS.
