TBC Bank opens its services for foreigners in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan
TBC Bank has opened access to its services for non-residents in Uzbekistan. Foreign citizens living in the country can now open accounts, get debit cards, make deposits, and transfer money entirely online, without visiting a branch.
To register, users need to download the TBC UZ app, complete online verification, and provide a passport, temporary registration, PINFL, and a local phone number. A bank representative will then visit the client to finalize the contract. Currently, this option is available only in Tashkent, but expansion to other regions is expected by the end of the year.
Non-residents can access deposits with annual rates from 17% to 22%, as well as the Salom Card — a debit card with bonuses for everyday payments, transfers, and savings.
According to Nika Kurdiani, CEO of TBC Uzbekistan, the bank aims to become “a natural entry point into the country’s financial system” for foreign students, professionals, and entrepreneurs. He emphasized that integrating non-residents into the bank’s ecosystem will support the growth of a cashless economy and diversify revenue streams.
The launch for non-residents continues TBC Bank’s ecosystem expansion, which already includes the Osmon Card, TBC Sug’urta insurance products, TBC Business for SMEs with online lending, and payment solutions including Visa+.
