Uzbekistan and Turkey Strengthen Cooperation in Regional Development

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan has signed Decree No. PP–95 dated March 12, 2026, approving an international treaty between the governments of Uzbekistan and Turkey on cooperation in regional development.
The agreement was originally signed on June 6, 2024, in Ankara and now officially comes into force in Uzbekistan.
The Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade has been designated as the competent authority responsible for implementing the treaty. Once the treaty comes into effect, the Cabinet of Ministers and heads of relevant ministries will ensure oversight of its execution.
The agreement aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation, facilitate experience exchange, and implement joint projects to enhance the effectiveness of regional development in both countries.
