Loan repayment period for cotton-textile clusters has been extended

The President made a decision to extend the preferential loan period until April 1, 2025.
Issues related to the financial stability of cotton-textile clusters were discussed at the video selector meeting held on July 17 under the chairmanship of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. It was decided to extend the preferential loan period until April 1, 2025.
8% of the preferential loan will be returned to clusters that have fully repaid the loan received for cotton cultivation last year.
This year, preferential credit for the purchase of cotton will be given to spinning enterprises of clusters. The property is allowed to be mortgaged if the clusters pay at least 35% of the cost of the purchased gin.
In the meeting, officials were also shown the need to review the status of clusters with high financial obligations and economic inefficiency.
