A draft Presidential decree on this initiative has been put up for public discussion. According to the decree, starting from June 1, 2025, as part of the nationwide movement "One Million Green Families," a special platform will be launched. Through this platform, citizens who walk at least 10,000 steps in a day will be granted the status of "Eco-Active Citizen" and the following benefits:

➖ a 10% discount on public services;
➖ discounts on consumer loans in banks where the state holds more than 50% share;
➖ if all adult family members obtain the status of "Eco-Active Citizen," the family will be designated as a "Green Family" and will have the chance to win one of 14 electric cars through an annual lottery.

It is worth noting that since 2021, citizens who walked 10,000 steps a day were rewarded with 3,000 soums daily. In January 2022, this practice was discontinued and replaced with a new incentive system (weekly rewards of 100 million soums and 1,000 bicycles). However, three months later, the pedestrian incentive system was quietly abolished altogether.

The draft Presidential decree under discussion aims to reintroduce this system in a renewed format.

Additionally, in neighborhoods where half of the population achieves the "Green Family" status, contests for "The Cleanest Neighborhood" and "The Greenest Neighborhood" will be held. Winning neighborhoods will receive 500 million soums for the following purposes:

construction of children's playgrounds;

creation of green parks;

construction of waste collection sites and installation of garbage containers.
